How do members book and cancel classes?

Members open your booking link (or the calendar embedded on your website), create an account, buy a pack or membership, and book classes using the credits it gives them. It works on any phone or computer and there is nothing to install. Cancelling inside your cancellation window returns the credit automatically.

The member journey

  1. Open your booking link. No app install, no separate checkout site.
  2. Create an account. Email and password, or Google Sign-in. There is also a native iOS app.
  3. Complete any required forms. Waivers and intake forms are asked for before the first booking.
  4. Buy a pack or membership. Paid with Apple Pay, Google Pay or card, through Stripe.
  5. Book a class. Credits are deducted at the point of booking.

Cancellations

Members cancel from the same booking page. Inside your cancellation window the credit is returned automatically; later than that it is forfeited. When you cancel a class, everyone is refunded in full regardless of the window.

Member profiles

Every member has a profile with their credit balance, booking history and a status flag:

FlagMeaning
NewRecently joined.
ActiveBooking regularly with valid credits.
Low CreditsRunning out, and worth prompting before they lapse.
ExpiredTheir credits or membership have run out.
At RiskAttendance has dropped off in a way that usually precedes churn.

Rosters also flag first-timers, so trainers know who is new to the room.

Booking on a member's behalf

Open any class from the Calendar and use Add Member. This is the route for walk-ins, phone bookings and anyone who needs a hand.

Full classes

Members join a waitlist and get a 2-hour exclusive window when a spot opens. See waitlists.

Emails members receive automatically

Email is included with no per-message surcharge. See emails and automations.

Granting credits manually

You can give a member access to a package directly, including one that is no longer on sale, which covers comps, corrections and staff accounts without inventing a fake purchase.
