Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about getting started with GYMSNA. For step-by-step setup guides, see the documentation.

Pricing & Fees

Is GYMSNA really free?
Yes! The FREE plan is completely free forever. Create unlimited classes, manage members, and share your timetable. We only charge 1% when you enable payments and process transactions.
When do I start paying the 1% fee?
Only when you enable payment processing and your members purchase packs or memberships. If you run free classes, you’ll never pay us anything.
How does payment processing work?
We use Stripe Connect, which means payments from your customers flow directly to your Stripe account. The Stripe fees (2.9% + 30¢) and our 1% platform fee are deducted at the point of purchase. The money you receive is 100% yours - no additional fees, no monthly charges, ever.
Are there any hidden fees?
No! Just 1% on transactions. No monthly fees, setup fees, cancellation fees, or hidden charges. Stripe’s standard processing fees apply (2.9% + 30¢).
Can I switch from FREE to Growth?
Yes, anytime! Enable payment processing in your dashboard when you’re ready to monetize. You can also disable it and return to the FREE plan.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No! Sign up for FREE without a credit card. Only connect Stripe when you’re ready to accept payments and start charging members.
What about member limits?
No limits! Both FREE and Growth plans support unlimited members, classes, and locations. Grow your business without worrying about hitting caps.
How long does setup take?
Most gyms are fully set up in under an hour. Import your classes, invite members, and start booking the same day. No training sessions or onboarding calls required.

Getting Started

How do I share my booking page with clients?
Every gym gets its own booking link where clients can view your schedule, create an account and book classes. You’ll find it in your dashboard under Embed Calendar, with a copy button so you can share it by email, text or social media. No website needed.
Can I preview what my members will see?
Yes - just open your own booking link in a browser. Everything you set up in Settings under Gym Profile (your logo, cover image, description, opening hours and social links) appears there exactly as your members see it.
How do I schedule classes?
Go to the Calendar tab in your dashboard. You can create one-off classes directly, or create a class template and schedule it as a recurring series (weekly, bi-weekly or monthly) that repeats automatically - forever, or for a set number of weeks.
What are class templates?
A template stores a class’s details once - name, description, duration, class size and credits required - so you can schedule it again and again without re-typing anything. Edit the template and you can apply the changes to future scheduled classes too.
How do I add trainers?
Open the Trainers tab in your dashboard to add your team. You can then assign one or more trainers to any class or recurring series, and track per-trainer performance in Reports.
How do I connect my Stripe account?
Go to Settings and click Connect with Stripe. You’ll be taken to Stripe’s secure onboarding, which asks for your business details, bank account and identity verification. Set aside 10-15 minutes and complete it in one sitting until you’re redirected back to GYMSNA. If you already have a Stripe account, log in at stripe.com first and connecting takes just a couple of clicks.
Can I put the booking calendar on my own website?
Yes. The Embed Calendar tab gives you a snippet to copy and paste into your site’s HTML - it works with WordPress, Squarespace, Wix and any site that accepts custom HTML. Bookings work right away, with no extra setup.

Bookings & Members

How do members book classes?
Members open your booking link (or your website’s embedded calendar), create an account, purchase a pack or membership, and book classes using the credits it gives them. It works on any phone or computer - there’s nothing for them to install.
How do credits work?
Each class costs a number of credits that you choose (typically 1). Members get credits by buying class packs or a recurring membership. When they book, credits are deducted; if they cancel in time, credits are refunded automatically.
What happens when a class is full?
Members can join a waitlist. When a spot opens up - for example someone cancels - the first person in line is emailed automatically and gets a 2-hour priority window to book before the next person is notified.
Can I set a cancellation policy?
Yes. You control the cancellation window (how many hours before class a member can cancel and get their credit back) and an optional booking cutoff (how close to the start time bookings stay open). Both are in Settings, and you can override them per class type.
Can I book someone into a class manually?
Yes. Open any class from the Calendar and use Add Member to book someone in yourself - useful for walk-ins, phone bookings, or members who need a hand.
Can I require waivers or intake forms?
Yes. Build custom forms in the Forms tab and mark them as required - members will be asked to complete them before their first booking, and you can review every submission from your dashboard.

Payments & Payouts

When and how do I get paid?
Payments go directly into your own Stripe account the moment a member purchases - GYMSNA never holds your money. Stripe then pays out to your bank on the schedule you choose (daily, weekly or monthly) in Settings.
What can I sell?
Recurring memberships (for example monthly plans that grant credits), one-off class packs, and drop-ins. You can also create discount codes and intro offers limited to one per customer or to new customers only.
How do refunds work?
You can refund any payment from the Payments tab in your dashboard, and credits are handled automatically. If you cancel a class as the gym, everyone booked in gets their credits back in full, whatever the cancellation window says.

Help & Support

Are there tutorials for the dashboard?
Almost every page in the dashboard has a "?" help button that opens an interactive, step-by-step tutorial for that page - it’s the fastest way to learn each section. If you’d like a video walkthrough of something specific, email us and we’ll help.
Can I email my members from GYMSNA?
Yes. The Emails tab lets you send one-off emails to your members and set up automations, and booking confirmations, cancellation notices and waitlist alerts are sent for you automatically.
How do I get help?
Email support@gymsna.com and a real human will get back to you - there’s no ticket limit and no paywall on support. Include your gym name so we can look at your account straight away.
